Baking is a team sport!

My dream is to start a bakery/café... And I think the best way to plan for that (what do you mean, small business classes?! Psh!) is to bake.

A lot.

Would anyone like to come up north, so that I can bake for them? :-D

Scones, homemade marshmallows, macarons, cookies, cakes... Maybe do high tea?

Lol, I've never MADE them before... I'll be making them on staycation, when I can have chocolate again, so I can have them on hot chocolate.

I have HAD homemade marshmallows before, and they're FABULOUS!

Good Eats had a good episode on making marshmallows!

Chantel, I'm the same way. I like to bake for people.

When I'm not exhausted, that is.

When I had roommates, I was told NOT to bake so often because they were gaining weight. lol

Buying memory is such a time consuming process... You have to Google prices, sort through which ones are genuine, step out and walk around a bunch of stores, compare prices, finally buy your memory, and then hope that the price doesn't fall in the next month or so.

I've been f'd over by rapid price drops in the past... especially this one time when I bought a Micro SD for my R4 gaming flash card at what apparently was a steal, only to later see that it had dropped $5 in a week's time.

Anyway you could do an internship or volunteer some time at one of the local shops?

I think you should talk to someone about what's involved - the good, the bad, and the risks...

Your dream sounds like a fantastic one. Please pursue it! Maybe you could sell home-made stuff at the craft fairs in addition to your beading or start selling at the farmer's market to build a customer base... with little samples, etc. I know you could do this!

See now I've wanted to open a coffee shop for a long time.
Serving really good coffee.
And fabulous baked goods.
And healthy sandwiches, soups etc.

Me, You, & a bunch of money!
